Cadeler A/S is a global company within the offshore wind industry. To support our continuous growth in the renewable industry, we are looking for a Contract Manager to support our sales efforts.

Cadeler A/S is currently undergoing a transition from its status as a marine service provider operating on time charters, emerging as a mature contractor capable of delivering more complex offshore wind construction projects. As the wind industry is rapidly growing and the complexity of projects increasing, Cadeler A/S is facing an exciting phase of development with a strategy to take on more complex scopes within the development of offshore wind farms.

The position is based in our office in Copenhagen and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting growing company in the offshore wind industry.


The job

As a Contract Manager, you will be working as part of the Contract Management team and be responsible for balancing the contracts towards successful bids as well as assisting the Project team with effective contract management execution.

We are looking for a thorough and structured candidate, who will be working as part of the Contract Management team and be responsible for the review of client contract templates, assisting the tender manager and commercial lead in balancing the contracts towards a successful winning bid. The Contract Manager will further assist the project team in managing the executed contracts and participating in meetings assisting the project managers in effective contract management during execution.

As our new Contract Manager your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Being responsible for reviewing and negotiating client contracts in close collaboration with the wider sales team
  • Providing feedback to the commercial team on contractual matters and contract requirements during negotiations
  • Aligning with insurance and tax aspects of a tender prior to submission or during negotiations
  • Assisting the project team in contractual aspects of sub-contractor and supplier agreements
  • Upon contract signature mapping contractual liabilities and assist the project team in managing the contractual deliverables
  • Reviewing and keeping records of agreements and updating on the movements in the market concerning contractual models and trends.

The candidate must enjoy working in an informal, but fast-paced and dynamic environment, and be willing to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.


Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be structured, with an ability to independently organize their own workload within set deadlines and hold a very attentive eye for detail. The position requires a quick learner who is able to get a grasp of a broad array of disciplines, and who enjoys cooperating with all internal departments. The successful candidate will also gradually be given a more independent role in facing the market and should be comfortable communicating professionally both in a sales-role and during negotiations.

Your qualifications for this role should include most of the following:

  • Minimum B.Sc-level education with a relevant commercial discipline
  • Commercial flair and an interest to work in a crossover between technical and commercial disciplines
  • Minimum five years’ professional experience in offshore wind or other relevant industry such as oil & gas, marine contracting, or offshore service
  • Preferably experience with contract management and negotiations
  • Experience with Supply Time and FIDIC type contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accurate and solution-oriented team player with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • English fluency both written and spoken, Scandinavian languages and other languages relevant for the offshore wind industry would be beneficial.
  • Excellent competences in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ideally also from risk and/or pricing software
