Senior Project Manager to a growing supplier within the offshore wind industry

To support our continuous growth in the renewables industry, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take on major projects? within the project management team of Cadeler A/S. 

Cadeler is the global partner in offshore wind farm construction and maintenance. We are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take a lead for key projects with Cadeler’s portfolio of major projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a team of internal and possible external professionals in planning and executing Cadeler’s project for one or more of the majors within the wind industry. Within Cadeler you will be leading the project delivery in terms of deliverables, tender requirements, quality, coordination between subcontractors and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Cadeler excels in preparing and delivering jack-up vessels prepared for wind turbine installations in coordination with wind farm developers and turbine manufacturers. We are transporting and installing the world’s largest offshore wind turbines as an important part of the supply chain.

The position can be based either in our office in Copenhagen or Vejle, Denmark, and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting and growing company in the offshore wind industry.

The job

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to further strengthen our project management team. The SPM will be part of the PM team to manage the future complex projects within a booming industry and support the Head of Projects in delivering the expanding pipeline of projects to our clients.

As our new Senior Project Manager, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Be responsible for managing a project team for project planning and execution
  • Responsible for project economics, project deliverables, project schedule
  • Key part of delivering a safe, both by design and during execution.
  • Coordination and communication with customers and subcontractors.
  • Handling of tenders, contracts and general negotiations of all elements related to the projects (supported by Contract Management)
  • Involvement and dialogue with vessel crew
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Management, Technical Department, Engineering Department, Sales Department, Vessel Crew)
  • Manage ad hoc tasks and projects
  • Support further development of the quality of project management in Cadeler
  • Support the development of less experienced project managers
  • Support Sales Department for future potential projects


Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will solve tasks with a positive can-do attitude as your main character. You will set high standards while feeling comfortable in handling numerous tasks simultaneously and effectively deliver on a wide variety of assignments.



The successful candidate is an experienced Project Management within the wind industry or relevant vessel projects, has a technical background, and has a structured approach and strong interpersonal skills.

You are a strong communicator with commercial experience, you are an excellent relationship builder, and take great pride in and passion for delivering your project.

 We are looking for a candidate that has the following skills:

  • A BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent degree
  • +5 years of experience within Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas or Heavy-Lift preferred, ideally including offshore / seagoing experience or within offshore project execution and subcontractor management
  • Experience leading a team of both internal and external members
  • Experience with contract management
  • Practical experience with project management related to both planning and execution
  • Good technical engineering understanding suitable for the WTG transport and installation
  • A natural capability for bridging issues between departments, and ability to prioritise by importance, risk and commercial impact
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and negotiate commercial and technical matters effectively to audiences at all levels
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
  • Team-player and effective problem solver, with capacity to act as an efficient coordinator between persons and projects
  • Service-minded with a positive, and solution-oriented work approach
  • Excellent competences in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
