As Senior Decarbonization Manager you will have the responsibility for providing expertise for our Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency agenda.

It is a newly established role and you will – together with our CTO – build up the department.


Responsibilities and opportunities for this role will include:

  • Managing and/or assisting in energy efficiency projects within decarbonization topics
  • Owning and driving the sustainable fuel evaluation, selection, sourcing strategy and road mapping (volume, logistics, port availability and risk management)
  • Developing strategies for data acquisition and data management within decarbonization
  • Keeping the company updated on latest development and opportunities within alternative green fuels and other technical solutions leading to zero carbon emission
  • Creating and maintaining decarbonization project portfolio for Company Assets
  • Evaluating technical proposals/solutions from vendors for decarbonization and make recommendations considering all aspects of a business case
  • Representing Cadeler decarbonization activities with stakeholders and in external forums such as conferences
  • Coordinating all internal & external stakeholders involved in Decarbonization initiatives to ensure aligned approach by all parties
  • Contributing to the development of offshore crew training/in house engineering community to create and maintain the highest energy efficiency mindset towards efficient and sustainable operation/engineering planning.

You will be a good match if you have the majority of the following competencies: 

  • A relevant bachelor or master’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar position
  • Experience from oil & gas, wind offshore or maritime industry is an advantage
  • Experience with project management
  • Analytical, good with numbers and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to combine a technical mindset with a commercial reality
