What we can offer

It is vital that our vessels are fully operating. We are therefore looking for an Assistant Vessel Manager to support our Vessel Manager in the daily operation and management of the vessels.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Continuously optimize Vessel Planned Maintenance System, in full cooperation with Vessel Manager.
  • Planning and execution of vessel upgrade works or major maintenance projects.
  • Implementation and management of new vessel procedures and processes
  • Purchase Order approval for vessel operation.
  • Support incident investigations when required and define corrective action plans in the event of failure(s).
  • Support the continuous optimization of vessel performance and act as support for performance monitoring and mentoring of onboard crew.
  • Participate in vessel technical inspection.
  • Cover for Vessel Manager during periods of absence.

We are looking for a supportive and collaborative profile. You enjoy planning and executing the different tasks and you do this in a proactive way. You are structured and well organised with good time management skills. And then you have excellent communication skills with internal as well as external stakeholders.

We think you will be a good match if you have some of the following competencies:

  • Background as Marine Engineer or Dual Officer
  • 3 years of sailing experience as junior officer
  • Offshore and/or nautical experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and competence in Microsoft-office and general knowledge of planned maintenance system.
  • A high professional level of English, written and spoken.
