Junior Technical Sales Engineer – Offshore Wind Industry

We are now looking for a Junior Technical Sales Engineer to help support the technical sales team in the preparation and submission of tender documents for wind turbine generator (WTG) projects.

 

What will you do?

As our new Junior Technical Sales Engineer, you will work on tenders for Wind Turbine transport and installation projects with the sales team and in-house specialists to identify the best technical solutions based on evaluation of technical content, cost drivers, and applicable risk factors.

Your main tasks include:

  • Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, including technical qualifications, preliminary method statements, project schedules, and technical drawings
  • Support the team by performing preliminary vessel positioning drawings, deck layouts, vessel stability assessments, and lifting plans.
  • Review and extract relevant information from Clients’ technical documentation.
  • Maintain proper organization and housekeeping of technical tender files, Internal templates, including client technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including Project Engineering, Project Department, Suppliers, and Vessel Crew, to gather necessary technical data for tender submissions.
  • Work closely with the Technical Sales WTG Team Lead to gain insights into best practices and strategies in technical sales.

We are looking for a well-organized profile, who possesses strong interpersonal skills and can communicate technical matters effectively to audiences at all levels.

We think you will be a good match if you have:

  • A BSc or MSc in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering drafting software (AutoCAD 2D or 3D).
  • Previous internship or relevant experience in the Wind or Offshore sector is an advantage, but not required.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English.
