To support our continuous growth in the renewables industry, we are looking for a Project engineer to support the Engineering Department of Cadeler A/S.

Cadeler A/S is a global company within the offshore wind industry. To support our continuous growth in the renewable industry, we are looking for a Project Engineer to lead an engineering role in offshore installation project. As a Project Engineer in Cadeler A/S you will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and execution of various engineering scope of work related to Marine Operations and Offshore Projects execution, from planning phases to demobilization.

Cadeler A/S is currently undergoing a transition from its status as a marine service provider operating on time charters, emerging as a mature contractor capable of delivering more complex offshore wind construction projects. As the wind industry is rapidly growing and the complexity of projects increasing, Cadeler is facing an exciting phase of development with a strategy to take on more complex scopes within the development of offshore wind farms.

The position is based in our office in Copenhagen, Denmark and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting growing company in the offshore wind industry.

The job

As our new Project Engineer, you will become a trusted member of the engineering team with responsibilities on both dedicated projects execution as well as specific point of expertise related to offshore and marine operations, all while contribute to driving sustainable growth of the business.

You will assist with a variety of engineering and operational tasks including but not limited to:

  • Planning all engineering related to specific offshore projects with WindTurbine installation jack-ups (Deck layout, stability, Site Specific Assessment, seafastening design, etc.)
  • Interface externally with all relevant subcontractor and stakeholder for the execution of the project
  • Perform and manage some engineering scope of work prepared internally
  • Lead engineering related topics towards clients or internal stakeholder
  • Support or lead scope of works during Mobilization, Demobilization and Operations phases
  • Own specific area of technical expertise
  • Support other departments such as the Sales and Technical departments

Successful Candidate

As a successful candidate, you will solve tasks with a positive can-do attitude as your main character. You will set high standards while feeling comfortable in handling numerous tasks simultaneously and effectively deliver on a wide variety of assignments. The position requires high versatility in the problem solving and engineering scopes, requiring a strong teamwork mindset in reaching out all relevant competences in-house or externally.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate holds Engineering background, a structured approach and strong interpersonal skills. A structured, analytical, and persistent approach characterizes your work style and ensures that you retain a good overview in negotiations and projects.

You are a strong communicator with commercial or client facing experience, you are an excellent relationship builder, and put high value in providing timely support.

The following skills are considered of high importance for the position:

  • An Engineering Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture or similar
  • As a minimum 3 to 5 years of experience from a similar position in the renewable, marine or oil & gas industry for the execution of shipbuilding or offshore installation projects
  • Experience with one or several of the following topics: ship stability and seakeeping, lifting and crane operations, jack-up operations, offshore mechanical equipment or ship/offshore electrical installation.
  • Team-player and effective problem solver, with capacity to act as an efficient coordinator between persons and projects
  • Strong commercial and service-minded approach with a positive, and solution-oriented approach
  • Practical experience in optimization and standardization of processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and negotiate commercial and technical matters effectively to audiences at all levels
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
  • Excellent competences in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
