Document Controller to support the New Build Project of two of the most capable vessels for the offshore wind industry

Cadeler has signed a USD 651 million contract with COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry to deliver two new X-Class vessels for installation services, operation and maintenance work on offshore wind farms. The new vessels are developed in close partnership with GustoMSC and are a bespoke version of the NG-20000X-G design, capable of operating at some of the most difficult sites globally and with the largest equipment in the industry.

 

We are seeking a Document Controller to support the project and control the extensive suite of incoming and outgoing documents in the project.

The main day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the Senior Project Manager and the Project team in the control of all documents and drawings on the New Build Project
  • Setup and maintain a control system for formal communication as well as change logs, variation logs and similar
  • Ensure compliance with Company Quality Management System requirements
  • Liaising with the project site team in China on document control matters
  • Support the Lead Records Manager with the development and strengthening of processes around documentation in the organization
  • Support other projects in the department on document control matters

The position is based in our office in Copenhagen, Denmark, where most of the project team is located.

 

Successful Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who can work in a high-intensive atmosphere and still maintain a structured approach to the management of documents and formal communication within the project, both externally and internally.

As the preferred candidate, we expect you to have most of the following qualifications:

  • A BSc in Library and Information Science or equivalent degree or background
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within document control on larger projects in the Offshore Wind, Oil&Gas or construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint
  • Familiar with relevant ISO standards within Records Management      
  • Structured, disciplined and organized
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Good communication skills
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
